Het verzorgen van de juiste alignment van de partities op een Windows machine zorgt voor betere performance. \\
Windows Server 2008 aligned partities al standaard op 1 MB, daar is geen manuele interventie nodig. \\
Voor Windows Server 2003 is het verstandig om met de hand de partitie juist te alignen bij het aanmaken van de partitie.
