VMware - ESX - Networking

Tested with ESXi 6.0.0 Update 3 (Build 5050593) on an HP ProLiant DL380e Gen8 and an HP ProCurve 2810-48G firmware N.11.76 switch.

Using link aggregation for VMware on an HP ProCurve requires:

1. Create the trunk on the HP ProCurve with 'trunk' instead of 'lacp':

   trunk 4-5 Trk2 Trunk

2. Configure NIC Teaming policy load balancing to use “Route based on IP hash”
