Updating the ServerProtect Activation Code via management console

The default the Deploy task in the ServerProtect 5.8 Information Server only deploys the following components each day at 01:00 AM:

• Virus pattern
• Virus Scan engine

The following components are also available, but not checked by default:

• ServerProtect Program
• Spyware pattern
• Virus Cleanup Template
• Virus Cleanup Engine
• Anti-rootkit Driver (32-bit systems only)

You may want to add at least Spyware pattern and Virus Cleanup Template and Engine to the Deploy task.

ServerProtect Program updates are automatically deployed right after you install an update when you have installed at least update 3 for ServerProtect 5.8 and set the AutoUpdateNS registry key on the Information Server with:

"%SYSTEMROOT%\system32\reg.exe" ADD "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\TrendMicro\ServerProtect\CurrentVersion" /v AutoUpdateNS /t REG_DWORD /d 1 /f
