x3270 is an IBM 3270 terminal emulator for the X Window System and Windows.
tn5250 is a telnet client for the IBM iSeries and AS/400 that emulates 5250 terminals and printers. This function is the same as that provided by the 5250 emulator in IBM iSeries Access.
tn5250j is a 5250 terminal emulator for the AS/400 written in Java.

When a 5250 client is locked because of too many failed logins:

• Log on as QSECOFR to a physical terminal or another 5250 client.
• WRKCFGSTS CFGTYPE(*DEV)
• Scroll to the workstation that is locked.
• Use “1” to set the workstation online.
